Case Study

Normal Scan
This is what a normal nervous system scan should look like.

This is an example of a typical case in our office. This first graph is what a normal scan should look like. No color indicates no interference with the nervous system is detected. The following three sets of graphs are from an actual client and his progress under chiropractic care.

Unfortunately, like most people this client waited until he had some serious symptoms before he began care. On the initial exam, there are a tremendous amount of colors on the graphs. The colors represent disturbances within the nervous system. The green bars represent mild dysfunction, the blue bars indicate moderate dysfunction and the red bars indicate a severe disturbance.

January
January 5th Initial Scan

After a series of adjustments, a reexamination was performed to assess his progress. This second set of graphs show definite improvement. And, of course, since the cause of the symptoms was being addressed, symptoms were also improving.

March
March 4th Second Scan

After a second series of adjustments, the scans again show improvement. At this point, almost all of the moderate and severe disturbances to his nervous system are gone and he continues to feel better.

April
April 12 Third Scan

Since the nervous system controls and regulates everything in the body, when it is functioning without interference you are definitely healthier and feel better.

Dr. Jim Asks some important questions of interest to South Portland residents - Chiropractor South Portland Dr. Jim Asks...

Why is a "slipped disc" unlikely?
Separating each spinal vertebra is a disc. Its fibrous outer ring holds in a jelly-like material. Because of the way a disc attaches to the spinal bones above and below it, it can't actually "slip." However, a disc can bulge, tear, herniate, thin and collapse. But it can't slip.
How come medical doctors don't recommend chiropractic?
That's changing. Years of prejudice and bias are giving way to research showing the benefits of chiropractic care. As more and more South Portland folks seek alternatives to drugs and surgery, more and more medical practitioners are referring their patients to chiropractors.
